"Kukicha Kaede organic, Japan 100 grams"
Original Japanese organic Kukicha Kaede (Gyokuro), shaded
Under the name Kukicha, valuable teas but also teas of rather average quality are offered. Our organic Kukicha Kaede is not only a rare jewel among the high quality harvests, it is also of the highest quality. Only parts of the noble, shaded Gyokuro are used. The difference lies in the plant parts and thus in the ingredients. While only the fine leaves are harvested for the Gyokuro, our tea farmer processes leaves and additionally parts of the ribs and stems for the Kukicha. What gives the Kukicha its name. The fine, green tea is popular because it contains decidedly little mild caffeine, making it an ideal green tea for the evening for many.
How does the Kukicha Kaede
taste?
Our organic Kukicha Kaede is a particularly mild green tea without any bitterness. Its mild aroma is exceptional among kukichas, which tend to have a strong, earthy taste. But it's its mildness that has us excited, it goes perfectly with its low caffeine content.
Kukicha Kaede and your health
The low caffeine content makes the Kukicha Kaede very tolerable, even for people who do not tolerate caffeine well. Whereas - this note is allowed - the caffeine of green tea in cooperation with the theanine is much better tolerated, because it enters the body in a muted way. Kukicha Kaede offers, however, even for a green tea, a great wealth of minerals and especially rare trace elements. Especially for trace elements, green tea is an excellent provider, while black tea compares poorly here because of fermentation. Positive effects on your metabolism, your immune system, your hormone balance confirm many studies. Your acid-base balance also benefits, as acids are neutralized.
Tea jewels are valuable but rare
Only small quantities of our rarities are harvested and produced each year. In exchange, they indulge with their exceptional characters and exquisite flavors that have been cultivated and refined over centuries. All rarities are of the finest organic quality. Since only the most tender leaves of the plants are used for our teas, the plucking quantities are very small. All pluckings are done by hand, carefully checked and sorted. To fully enjoy these rare green teas, you should ideally use soft water, filtered if necessary. You can achieve an increase in flavor by boiling the water in a real Japanese kettle, preferably an Iwachu kettle, and brewing the tea in a Japanese clay teapot (Kyusu) according to directions.
