Japanese serving dish, oblong, in two sizes from the Shuin tableware series. It is handcrafted from high-quality Japanese porcelain and is made by Miyazaki. Miyazaki is a well known ceramic brand based in the ceramic stronghold of Toki, Gifu Prefecture. The porcelain from Toki enjoys an excellent reputation in Japan and far beyond. The high quality, the typical Japanese style but also the production methods are highly appreciated by experts. All pieces of the Shuin tableware series express the love of simplicity with a clear, distinct design language. The gently structured surface conveys an impressive haptic experience.

Japanese handcrafted porcelain is created in the highest quality according to traditional production methods and convinces with high hardness, resistance and wonderful surfaces. When white, the surfaces of the best Japanese porcelain appear transparent, often with a bluish sheen. The proverbial quality consciousness of whole generations of Japanese artisans is the basis for the tableware of the highest quality, which is appreciated in many countries. The tableware of the Shuin series resembles a slowly erupting volcano. Beautiful but also mysterious, exciting. The brick red glaze with black and light gray speckles always reflects a new, interesting image and gives Shuin an unusual life. High craftsmanship is necessary to produce this aesthetic. The Toki artisans, trained for years under the strict eyes of masters, understand their craft at the highest level. Shuin is dishwasher and microwave safe and is great for everyday use.

In die meditative Betrachtung der Glasur von SHUIN zu versinken, erinnert an HOKUSAI´s „36 Ansichten des Berges FUJI” - kraftvolle Strukturen wie bei dessen letzten vulkanischen Ausbruch im Jahre 1707 zeichnen immer neue Landschaften auf den Teller... und vorsichtshalber werde ich kalte Speisen darauf anrichten: Warmes könnte kalt werden, bevor ich mich von der Betrachtung der Servierplatte lösen kann...
