The R.I.B. tea towels are made of corrugated rayon yarn enriched with Binchotan charcoal. Binchotan is the highest quality of Japanese charcoal and is highly prized and widely used for its natural cleaning properties. Sustainably added to each fiber, Binchotan naturally absorbs odors and bacteria that can form in a dish towel.All R.I.B. dish towels have four layers of material. Only one side of the tea towel is naturally dyed, the other side has been left in Binchotan gray. The kitchen towels are great for drying your beautiful china and many other uses. These cloths are also made with unique Japanese weaving techniques that provide durability. The consistency of the cloths is firm at first and becomes softer with use.
