What does Kuroshiage mean?
Kuroshiage means forged black or literally made black. With this type of forging, the upper part of the blade is left black and not polished. The result is an extraordinary design. It is also a kind of natural rust protection. Take care when resharpening or using alternative methods to remove rust film. The surface of the Kuroshiage knives can be removed in places or involuntarily polished smooth.
