The founder of the manufactory Usaburo, Usaburo Okamoto, was a true pioneer. The manufacturing technique he developed is unique and precisely adapted to his favorite products, the Kokeshi. Important components are the domestic wood species, which are used after careful selection. As well as the mold work, the carving and the very special way of painting. In Japan, the Usaburo Kokeshi are among the most popular of all, which certainly has to do with their carefully crafted characters, their naturalness and the artistically valuable painting. Kokeshi Soshun is a very good example of the manufactory's work, as it radiates a special depth, spreads a lot of atmosphere without showmanship. Soshun is shipped together with a small wooden plaque, which shows - of course, in Japanese script - the name of the artist. Shipped in the original packaging with the characters of the founder of the manufactory Usaburo Okamoto.
