"Kokeshi: wooden figure monk"
The very smoothly worked surface quickly tempts everyone to take our monk in his hands and heart. Although small in stature, he radiates protection and security. Maybe that's why he turned out so short, because the monk is quite content with smaller locations and would like to be the protective companion. The wood from which this Kokeshi is made spends up to 12 months in the drying sun. After the drying process, the Japanese artist thoroughly shapes and polishes, lovingly paints the figure by hand and finishes it with a layer of natural lacquer.
