Ceramic Japan: masterful ceramics as an emotional landscape
\"Ceramic Japan\" is not just a name, but rather a promise - the promise to unite emotion and master craftsmanship. In the heart of Seto, the famous \"City of Ceramics\" in Aichi Prefecture, we draw on a rich heritage to create products of simple yet striking beauty.
Philosophy and craftsmanship
What drives us? It is the conviction that technology and design are more than the sum of their parts. They are the visible form of the soul and genius of our designers. Our ceramic pieces are therefore not only aesthetically pleasing, but also emotional ambassadors - a piece of heart, captured in every bowl, every vase.
A dance between tradition and innovation
Since our foundation in 1973, we have always combined traditional Seto craftsmanship with contemporary design. We work hand in hand with designers from a wide range of fields to achieve products that represent a perfect symbiosis of form and skill.
Global recognition and eternal relevance
Our relentless pursuit of design excellence has earned us international recognition, including the Good Design Award and a place in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. But awards are not our goal, they are merely signposts on our journey to practical and artistic beauty.
From the first draft to the finished product
One of our particular strengths lies in our ability to create original shapes in-house. This ensures that our creative process runs smoothly from start to finish, including production. We leave nothing to chance: From initial design to meticulous quality control, all our dedication goes into each of our products.
Makoto Komatsu
The world-renowned designer Makoto Komatsu has made a name for himself with ceramic works in particular. Born in Tokyo, he studied and later became a professor at Musashino Art University. Exhibitions in Tokyo, Paris, New York, London, Shanghai, Beijing and Oslo, among others, many international design awards, represented in the world's major museums.
A living heritage
Seto, surrounded by a rich natural environment and world-class clay deposits, established itself as a ceramics-producing region a long time ago. In this vibrant landscape that combines tradition and evolution, we continue on our path, proud to be one of the world's leading ceramic brands.
All products are unique. Slight deviations from the illustration are possible. Due to the artisanal production, small irregularities are proof of authenticity and craftsmanship and do not represent a reduction in value.
