A perfect pair for your kitchen: the knife set Gyuto. Yoshimi Kato, master blacksmith and son of the legendary Hiroshi Kato, founder of the knife village Takefu, has forged these knives by hand. The long Gyuto knife Nashiji is essentially the same as the European chef's knife, but - of course - it has the advantages typical of Japanese knives: sharp, thin, light and easy to sharpen. Bunka, on the other hand, is a typical Japanese knife shape. An all-purpose knife with a short blade - approx. 160 mm - tip, wide blade for perfect guidance and, of course, high sharpness. There is hardly a cutting task that cannot be expertly mastered with the Bunka. Both knives are forged from Aogami Super, the hardest carbon steel with the highest sharpening potential. The knives hold their sharpness for a very long time, are lightweight and very well balanced. With the right whetstone and a little practice, these Japanese knives can be resharpened to razor sharpness. The Nashiji finish not only looks unusually good, it also protects the blade from corrosion.
