Ceramic Japan was founded in 1973 in the historic ceramic region of Seto City, Aichi Prefecture. The idea of ceramic japan, to combine first-class product design with traditional craftsmanship, is still the supporting foundation of the manufactory today. Products from ceramic japan are typically a harmonious synergy between design standards and unusual production techniques. At home and abroad, ceramic japan has made a name for itself with its extraordinary products, which are characterized by practical but also artistic qualities. Some of these products are part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMa) in New York.

Makoto Komatsu

The world-renowned designer Makoto Komatsu, has made a name for himself in particular with ceramic works. born in Tokyo, studied and later became a professor at Musashino Art University. Exhibitions in Tokyo, Paris, New York, London, Shanghai, Beijing and Oslo, among others, many international design awards, represented in the world's major museums.
