The chef's knife or Gyuto shows its particular strengths with larger pieces of vegetables, fish or meat. It is the right knife for the large, smooth and clean cut from top to bottom, but also performs, if it is well sharpened, filleting and carving remarkable. In the hands of the confident chef, the Gyuto is also very versatile; the Shiraha Gyuto 210, with a blade length of about 210 mm, is rather compact and thus easier to use than very large knives. Jikko has made the blades of the series Shiraha from the popular stainless steel VG-10. All blades are polished by hand. The handle is made of high quality cherry wood and is very ergonomically shaped. The knives are very well balanced, lightweight and have a very high sharpening potential. Please note that the wood is of course slightly different in color and grain. The knife is delivered in a high-quality cardboard box.
