The Kokeshi Kantsubaki is made of solid wood, handmade and hand-painted. All woods are carefully selected for manufacturing and sun-dried for 12 months. Usaburo's artists study the beauty of the wood's interior to select and craft the appropriate pieces for the Kokeshi's various characters. The figurine comes with a small wooden plaque showing the artist's name - in Japanese script, of course. Shipped in the original packaging with the characters of the founder of the manufactory Usaburo Okamoto.
