Hand forged Japanese chef's knife Santoku from Nigara. The Santoku, also called the knife of the three virtues, is the typical all-purpose knife that you should always have on hand. For meat, fish and vegetables. The blade with a cutting core of SPG2 steel, is sheathed in a Japanese stainless steel. Very distinctive is the hammering, individually done by hand, so that each knife is unique. The handle is made of high quality wenge, octagonal and a ferrule of buffalo horn. Please note that the wood is naturally slightly different in color and grain. Nigara Hamono is a legendary name in Japan with a very long tradition of making swords and knives, dating back over 300 years. For 8 generations come from this forge cutting tools of the highest quality.
