"Sushi set Shuin, red"
Sushi plate, sauce bowl: Shuin series tableware resembles a slowly erupting volcano. Beautiful but also mysterious, exciting. The brick-red glaze with black and light gray speckles always reflects a new, interesting image and gives Shuin an unusual life. High craftsmanship is necessary to produce this aesthetic. The Toki artisans, trained for years under the strict eyes of masters, understand their craft at the highest level. Shuin is dishwasher and microwave safe and is great for everyday use.
The handmade chopsticks are made of genuine Japanese cherry wood. Cherry is popular not only because of its symbolism and floweriness, but also the wood, which belongs to the precious woods, is widely used for high-quality furniture construction, decorative and utilitarian objects. Gato Mikio manufactory is one of the traditional lacquerware manufacturers and is very famous for its high quality craftsmanship. The design of Gato Mikio products has received many awards worldwide. Artisans of the manufactory produce the sticks according to the artistic, high-quality Urushi process. Urushi refers to the natural varnish made from tree resin and at the same time the technique of processing, which has been practiced for about 6000 years. Urushi has been practiced at a high artistic level since about the 6th century. For many centuries, Urushi products were luxury goods and reserved exclusively for the imperial family and nobility.
Chopsticks rest: Kabazaiku has a tradition of over 200 years in Japan. The cherry trees whose bark and wood are used are wild mountain cherry trees. The cherry is relatively undemanding as far as soil is concerned and thrives even at high altitudes. The Japanese cherry is mainly known from the Japanese cherry blossom festival Hanami, which honors the cherry - a sanctuary of Japan - in its beautiful blossom. The fact that the wood of the cherry has also been highly valued in Europe and other parts of the world for thousands of years is proven, among other things, by many archaeological findings.
All items are handcrafted, some are truly unique. Due to the handmade production, minimal irregularities are evidence of authenticity and craftsmanship and do not represent a reduction in value.
Note
Stoneware: dishwasher safe. Chopsticks: wash by hand, keep dry, avoid high heat.
