"Tea tin Kizutsu cherry blossom, Kabazaiku, 80 g"
Tea cans Kizutsu series
Kitzutus is the standard series of Denshiro, you could also call it the Ur series. For many years, these tea caddies have been manufactured and used. And they still enjoy high popularity. The tea caddies have a very high quality finish, an inner lid made of cherry bark and are available in three versions: Natural (mechanically polished), Marble (raw bark) and Cherry Blossom (inlaid with cherry blossoms).
Kabazaiku - traiditional art
Kabazaiku refers to the artistry and the material. Where Kaba means birch and it is still not fully understood how it came to this term. In fact, Kabazaiku stands for the craftsmanship that elaborately handcrafts beautiful and extremely useful products made of cherry bark. Most famous are the products Chatsubo or Chazutsu, both names for containers used to store tea. The natural material cherry bark has its own special aesthetics and offers factually similar advantages as wood in general. The ability to absorb moisture and thus protect the tea is probably the most important function of this pure natural material. Other products include tablets, teaspoons, jewelry boxes, and more. Cherry bark is a very environmentally friendly material, as it grows back after harvesting. The surfaces of the products are left natural or mechanically processed, that is, \"scraped\" with a special technique, so that the surface shines as if it were polished.
Kabazaiku has a tradition of over 200 years in Japan. The cherry trees whose bark and wood are used are wild mountain cherry trees. The cherry is relatively undemanding as far as soil is concerned and thrives even at high altitudes. The Japanese cherry is mainly known from the Japanese cherry blossom festival Hanami, which honors the cherry - a sanctuary of Japan - in its beautiful blossom. The fact that the wood of the cherry is also highly valued in Europe and other parts of the world for thousands of years, proves, among other things, many archaeological finds.
