"Sencha Konomi organic, Japan"
Original Japanese Organic Sencha Konomi
Sencha is the most widely drunk green tea in Japan. Over 70% of the green tea grown in Japan is Sencha. The qualities of Senchas on the market are very wide ranging from plain Bencha to high quality Gyokuro. Our Sencha Konomi comes from the main region of tea cultivation in Japan: Shizuoka Prefecture. This growing region is also relatively mild and has a very favorable rainfall for tea cultivation as well as very good water, but the climate is not subtropical like the region of origin of our Mizuki. Shizuoka is a leader in the production of Sencha, the landscape is characterized by hills and mountains, spring sets in early, winters are relatively warm. Our Sencha Konomi is characterized, as it should be for top teas, by fine leaves in a very dark green, which are steamed and rolled after harvest. The aroma is intense, the coloration in the tea bowl is golden.
How does the organic Sencha Konomi
taste?
It already smells very fresh and strong, its taste is full, characterized by a slight bitter note and floral sweetness. From nose to palate to finish, Sencha Konomi shows real character and strong presence. Every day the full enjoyment of genuine Japanese green tea.
Organic Sencha Konomi and your health
Generally, high quality Senchas are considered the best variety in terms of their general health benefits. Organic Sencha Konomi, which is grown in a biologically correct and controlled manner, has high levels of catechins and antioxidants, and theanine (pick-me-up) is slightly higher than that of Mizuki. As far as health-promoting ingredients are concerned, this Sencha is the most well-balanced of all tea varieties, hence its broad effect: metabolism, cardiovascular system, intestinal functions and also memory performance can benefit noticeably. But also anti-inflammatory effect this excellent green tea.
Tea jewels are valuable but rare
Only small quantities of our rarities are harvested and produced each year. In exchange, they indulge with their exceptional characters and exquisite flavors that have been cultivated and refined over centuries. All rarities are of the finest organic quality. Since only the most tender leaves of the plants are used for our teas, the plucking quantities are very small. All pluckings are done by hand, carefully checked and sorted. To fully enjoy these rare green teas, you should ideally use soft water, filtered if necessary. You can achieve an increase in flavor by boiling the water in a real Japanese kettle, preferably an Iwachu kettle, and brewing the tea in a Japanese clay teapot (Kyusu) according to the instructions.

Stringent annual inspections by the Japanese certification authority for agricultural operations ensure compliance with the measures. Additionally, organic teas are tested for pesticides and radioactivity by independent laboratories. The best foundation for healthy and high-quality tea enjoyment.
Gold award for the tea master.
The high-quality tea leaves from our family-run tea farm are not the only reason for our premium product. The skills of the tea master play a crucial role in the final quality. All our tea varieties are produced in micro-batches and not in mass production, following traditional methods. Years of experience in production enable us to fully extract the flavor and character of each green tea batch.
