"Kama-Iri-Cha, organic, super premium"
Kama-Iri-Cha, organic
Unique, refreshing, flavorful. This is Kama-Iri-Cha. A tea made from only one cultivar, yabukita. Yabukita is a very popular cultivar in Japan, although it is quite delicate and organic farmers have to take great care of it. But it just yields a rich, fine crop as well as a great deal of umami, making it worth almost any effort. The fact that Kama-Iri-Cha is one of the finest green teas is also evident from other factors. Its origin, the volcanic mountains of Kirishima, about 600 meters above sea level. Here grow the delicate leaves, which are used without stems and stalks. The mineral-rich soil and the climate, with its many hours of sunshine and abundant fog, are ideal conditions for a tasty, healthy green tea. Added to this is the elaborate and very careful processing. The young tea leaves, all from the first harvest in spring, are gently kneaded during the drying process. This gives them the crimped shape typical of Kama-Iri-Cha, reminiscent of teas roasted in a pan. So is the light roasted aroma, but combined with exceptional freshness in Kama-Iri-Cha.
How does the organic Kama-Iri-Cha taste
The taste of Kama-Iri-Cha is unique and rather unusual for a green tea. Umami and light, subtle roasted flavors are combined in it with a very fresh, lively taste. Because it is so unique, it is difficult to compare its taste. The best thing is to try it. Whether for a tea break or as an accompaniment to a fine meal, the Kama-Iri-Cha shows its character clearly but without dominating other flavors.
Kama-Iri-Cha and your health
As a fresh, young tea from the first harvest, Kama-Iri-Cha benefits from the abundant accumulated minerals of the winter dormant season. Further, the shading and careful, gentle processing affect the richness of healthy ingredients. Amino acids, fatty acids, and chlorophyll especially benefit. Kama-Iri-Cha gently stimulates, similar to a light Sencha. It also shares broad health benefits with sencha. Organically grown and controlled, Kama-Iri-Cha has high levels of catechins and antioxidants. The stately amount of L-theanine has a stimulating effect, making this tea a very healthy alternative to many a more aggressive pick-me-up. Positive effect on metabolism, cardiovascular system, intestinal functions and also memory performance can be assumed. And even anti-inflammatory effect this excellent green tea.
Tea jewels are valuable but rare
Only small quantities of our rarities are harvested and produced each year. In return, they indulge with their exceptional characters and exquisite flavors, cultivated and refined over centuries. Most of our rarities are of finest organic quality. Since only the most tender leaves of the plants are used for our teas, the plucking quantities are very small. All plucking is done by hand, carefully inspected and sorted. To fully enjoy these rare green teas, you should ideally use soft water, filtered if necessary. You can achieve an increase in flavor by boiling the water in a genuine Japanese cast iron kettle - for the sake of your health, pay attention to the quality - and preparing the tea in a Japanese teapot made of clay or cast iron (Kyusu)
