"Shincha Makizone Organic, First Flush, 100 g"
Original Japanese Shincha from Kagoshima
Shincha is the \"new\", the first plucking of the year. Shincha is a rarity and is considered the best of all sencha. Until not so long ago, shincha was available only a few months a year. Today, fortunately, it is possible to package the tea so well that Shincha is available in stores for a longer period of time. And so lovers of this tea are happy when the \"new\" one is still available in autumn and winter and its youthful freshness can be enjoyed. Our Shincha comes from a region that enjoys the best reputation for this tea, the subtropical, mountainous, warm and misty southern island of Kagoshima. It has been organically grown, hand-picked, carefully processed and freshly packaged.
What does excellent shincha taste like
?
Shincha is a rather gentle green tea with sweet and slightly tart notes and a fresh character. It is the freshness that clearly distinguishes it from Sencha, otherwise the taste of Shincha is quite similar to the most drunk tea in Japan. The fine sweetness but also the so appreciated umami, which is typical of noble Shincha, makes it particularly delicate and so popular.
Shincha and your health
The power of all the rest goes into the first tea. That is why many tea connoisseurs value the first plucking so much. From the last to the first harvest of the following year, a time when growth is decelerated, particularly many active ingredients accumulate in the plants. In addition, only the small, delicate and light-colored leaves are harvested for Shincha, which in turn have their own special characteristics. Shincha is particularly rich in nutrients, vitamins, amino acids and unsaturated fatty acids and has the highest content of valuable catechins. Caffeine, however, is less present in Shincha than in comparable Sencha, so it can also be the tasty evening refreshment. Shincha is considered an all-rounder as far as health support is concerned. He is said to have a positive effect on metabolism and intestines, cardiovascular system, as well as a gently stimulating effect.
Tea jewels are valuable but rare
Only small quantities of our rarities are harvested and produced each year. In exchange, they indulge with their exceptional characters and exquisite flavors that have been cultivated and refined over centuries. All rarities are of the finest organic quality. Since only the most tender leaves of the plants are used for our teas, the plucking quantities are very small. All pluckings are done by hand, carefully checked and sorted. To fully enjoy these rare green teas, you should ideally use soft water, filtered if necessary. You can achieve an increase in flavor by boiling the water in a real Japanese kettle and brewing the tea in a Japanese clay teapot (Kyusu) according to the instructions.
