Very noble cutlery set, consisting of steak knife and fork, from Marunao. Both the knife blade and the fork are made by the well-known knife manufacturer Tojiro. The fork convinces with its balanced shape, which promises a comfortable and convenient use. The Damascus blade of the knife consists of the VG10 cutting core and layers of carbon steel. Both handles are handcrafted by Maruno itself from Ebony, ebony wood. The subtle inlay is made of silver.

Black beauties with stripes

Very high quality ebony. The ebony is black striped, real heartwood, and is one of the most valuable wood species of all. It is very hard, heavy and has a density between 0.9 to 1.3 kg/dm³. Mostly ebony is used for valuable inlay work and the construction of sophisticated musical instruments. In mythology, ebony plays a major role. It is often said to have a magical effect. It is said to protect against demons, preserve the power of magical objects and is considered - in mythology - the ideal raw material for magic wands.

In Japan, chopsticks are mainly used as cutlery. For food that is already prepared as bite-sized pieces before cooking. Marunao makes the handles from precious ebony according to the same principles as the exquisite chopsticks. Best material, handmade with high precision and care, attention to detail.
