The subtropical climate with abundant sunshine and plentiful rainfall at an elevation of about 500 meters above sea level provides optimal conditions for cultivating high-quality green tea. The expansive tea fields in the mountainous region are a characteristic feature of tea farms in Kagoshima. Most recently, the tea master was awarded gold at the annual tea processing competition in Shizuoka.
