Green tea test: step by step
Preparing green tea properly does not necessarily mean following the manufacturer's recommendations exactly. But to find the varieties that are interesting for you, these recommendations are a good basis. Then, step by step, you can vary all the factors that influence the taste and approach your favorite bancha, sencha, gyokuro, or whatever tea variety is the selected. Take your time, because a journey that is meant to bring fulfillment needs muse. The exciting journey itself is the goal.
Green tea test: from simple to experimental
Trying out different tea varieties to find your favorite is often the first, logical step. Also that there are different qualities of each variety, one knows. It becomes a little more experimental when one deals with the question of what else determines the taste, in part very significantly. There is the water, a main component of the tea. Is it soft or hard, which ingredients are in it. Green tea loves soft water, your health appreciates it when the water does not contain anything that could harm it. Does the water from a tetsubin actually taste different than from an electric kettle? Then there's the teapot - can it affect the taste? Is it meant to be more than practical and beautiful? Does the Japanese tradition of making green tea in clay teapots make sense in terms of taste? And what about the amount of tea? And the water temperature? And with myself? Do I have the muse that premium tea deserves? Am I looking for tea to accompany a meal or for a relaxing tea break? As you can see, those who want it simple will follow the recommendations for proper preparation and will experience much enjoyment. But if you want to experiment, especially with non-flavored green tea, you have a wide scope in front of you, which you can enjoy to the fullest.

Oryoki
Organically certified tea from Kagoshima.
Our ORYOKI tea comes from an organic-certified tea farm located on the island of Kyushu in Kagoshima, southern Japan. The subtropical climate with abundant sunshine and plentiful rainfall at an elevation of about 500 meters above sea level provides optimal conditions for cultivating high-quality green tea. The expansive tea fields in the mountainous region are a characteristic feature of tea farms in Kagoshima. Spring water and volcanic soil rich in minerals offer optimal conditions for the growth of tea plants.
Gentle processing and quality controls for optimal tea enjoyment.
The prohibition of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers is just one of the many regulations for the organic certification of tea farms and tea processing companies. Stringent annual inspections by the Japanese certification authority for agricultural operations ensure compliance with the measures. Additionally, organic teas are tested for pesticides and radioactivity by independent laboratories. The best foundation for healthy and high-quality tea enjoyment.
