Each pan is a handmade unique piece, made by Kamasada manufactory in Japan, Iwate. Nanbu Tekki, the traditional manufacturing process of artisans in Japan, is a guarantee for the excellent cooking properties of Kamasada products. First-class iron ore with a high proportion of natural iron is thus processed into a product that is a feast for the eyes, functional at the same time and also beneficial to health. This is also ensured by the relatively low weight of this extraordinary pan. Nobuho Miya, the designer and master of Nanbu Tekki, has won many awards for his minimalist designs, and his work is part of the permanent collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art, New York.

Nobuho Miya is one such world-renowned designer, and Kamasada Ironworks, the manufacturing facility founded by his family in Iwate Prefecture, brings his designs to life in excellent products. The workshop consistently produces cast iron products of the highest quality in both function and design using the Nanbu Teki (also known as Nambu Tetsu or Southern cast ironware) method. Nobuho Miya's works have been awarded worldwide and exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art in New York.
