"Japanese teapot T.Kato, black"
Teapot designed by Tatsumi Kato and crafted by Ceramic Japan, merging traditional handmade techniques with modern design. The manufactory is situated in Seto, Aichi Prefecture—a region renowned for its pottery due to its high-quality clay. Unique to this region, it remains the only pottery center in Japan that employs a glaze used for over 1000 years, dating back to the Kamakura period. The award-winning manufactory stands out for its intentional collaboration between contemporary designers and traditional artisans. This synergy gives birth to products of unparalleled uniqueness, exhibiting both high aesthetics and superior utility. The contrast between these creations and inexpensive, mass-produced items is not only visible, but according to tea connoisseurs, it also significantly enhances the tasting experience.
All products are unique. Slight deviations from the picture are possible. Due to the artisanal nature of production, minor irregularities attest to authenticity and craftsmanship, and should not be seen as flaws diminishing the product's value.
