Genmaicha Yuwaku with Sencha Kabuse Kirifuda
Our Sencha Kabuse Kirifuda came to us in search of the best Sencha in Japan - we have not found a better Sencha. It comes from Japan's southern island of Kyushu, more specifically from the area around Kirishima in Kagoshima Prefecture. It is volcanic soil, together with the subtropical climate, the many hours of sunshine, but also the fog, that make up the special conditions that can produce such a wonderful tea as this Sencha. Here, in a small organic tea garden, grow the cultivars of our Sencha: Yabukita, Okumidori and Okuyutaka. The noble selection of cultivars, the restriction to the finest, most delicate tea leaves and buds of the first harvest and the careful and elaborate processing give the Sencha Kabuse Kirifuda the top rank of the Senchas. So our Genmaicha Yuwaku has a top Sencha as its base. Combined with the organic roasted rice, the result is a Genmaicha that may be a favorite for Genmaicha lovers.
How does Genmaicha Yuwaku
taste?
Two worlds of flavor form a harmonious pair. The taste of the sencha is full of umami - delightful. Underpinning the umami is a subtle, mild aroma and a balanced, fresh sweetness. Bitterness and astringency are foreign to the Sencha Kirifuda, providing the fresh notes and full body for the Genmaicha. The roasted rice first dominates the nose, skillfully delivering its roasted aromas to the harmonious duet. Thus, the Genmaicha becomes a multi-layered taste supplier for tea breaks, nice evenings and as a companion for good food. To fully enjoy these fine teas, you should ideally use soft, possibly filtered water. You can achieve an increase in flavor if you boil the water in a genuine Japanese cast iron kettle - for the sake of your health, pay attention to the quality - and prepare the tea in a Japanese teapot made of clay or cast iron (Kyusu)
