"Bancha Kigaru, Organic, Premium"
Bio Bancha Kigaru
Premium Bancha Kigaru is 97% tea leaves of the cultivar Yabukita, 3% are fine leaf stems. Yabukita is a very popular cultivar in Japan, although it is quite delicate and organic farmers have to take great care of it. But it provides a lot of umami and is therefore worth almost any effort. The cultivar for the Kigaru is grown on the southern island of Japan Kyushu, more precisely from the area of Kirishima in Kagoshima Prefecture. Kirishima is also the name of a mountain in the prefecture, a volcanic mountain. Volcanic soil, together with the subtropical climate, the many hours of sunshine, but also the fog, make up the special conditions that can produce wonderful teas. The tea fields are located - very idyllic - in the mountains of Kirishima, about 600 meters above sea level. The Bancha belongs to the well tolerated, mild teas. A fine everyday tea that can be drunk all day - even in the evening - as it contains very little caffeine. It is ideal as an accompaniment to food, as its wholesome aroma with a slightly nutty note enhances the taste of fine foods. It is also popular as a starter tea and tea for every day, hot and cold.
How does the organic Bancha Kigaru
taste
The Bancha Kigaru is a fine, aromatic and mild tea. The nutty note and the light umami result in a high balance, which makes its character as an everyday tea and companion. To fully enjoy this fine Bancha, you should ideally use soft water, filtered if necessary. You can achieve an increase in flavor if you boil the water in a genuine Japanese cast iron kettle - for the sake of your health, pay attention to the quality - and prepare the tea in a Japanese clay or cast iron teapot (Kyusu).
Organic Bancha Kigaru and your health
The health benefits of Bancha are characterized by the richness of catechins, iron and trace elements and the absence of caffeine and acids. The mineral, alkaline note makes it a friend to the stomach, it has a deacidifying effect and supports digestion. The high iron content, Bancha is one of the foods with the most iron, especially appreciate people with iron deficiency or the corresponding risk.
