Original Japanese organic Genmaicha 'n' Matcha
Genmaicha offers a special taste experience among green teas. This extremely compatible and warming green tea variety consists of Sencha and brown rice. The Genmaicha 'n' Matcha is additionally refined with 3% high-quality Matcha from Uji, Kyoto. Uji is the most famous region for growing matcha tea of all. Of course, both tea varieties as well as the rice are grown strictly according to organic principles. To achieve the roasted aroma slightly reminiscent of coffee, the organic rice is roasted and puffed. The Sencha of our Genmaicha 'n' Matcha comes from the renowned, small but highly refined Yame growing area in Fukuoka Prefecture on the subtropical island of Kyushu in southern Japan. The small tea garden produces finest Sencha on fertile volcanic soil at a quality level that need not fear comparison with the finest Gyokuro. Yame is known for its healthy, partly almost untouched nature and excellent water.

taste?
Sencha belongs to strong, full-bodied teas. However, as Genmaicha, it shows a pleasant mildness. The fine roasted aromas are somewhat reminiscent of coffee and very harmoniously emphasize the typical noble-bitter taste with fine sweetness of Sencha. The entahltene Matcha occupies the taste, dampens somewhat the roast flavors, which makes this tea even more elegant.

Sencha is characterized by its very balanced health benefits. Its valuable ingredients are available in a healthy, balanced ratio. The Genmaicha offers, by the addition of rice, in total less of the tea ingredients. However, the matcha gives this tea a bit more zest and stimulating effect. The caffeine and theanine content is reduced, so Genamaicha is also drunk in the evening and, due to its warming effect, especially on cold winter evenings or cool summer evenings. The Genmaicha 'n' Matcha promotes general well-being, metabolic and intestinal functions and can have a stabilizing effect on cardiovascular system.

Our premium tea from Japan comes exclusively from small tea gardens with organic cultivation ethones. The harvest quantities are relatively small due to the cultivation method, which gives the teas a certain exclusivity. The careful harvesting is done with a lot of manual work, great care and extremely conscientious. All pluckings are expertly inspected and sorted. To fully enjoy these rare green teas, you should ideally use soft, possibly filtered water. You can achieve an increase in flavor by boiling the water in a real Japanese kettle, preferably a kettle from Iwachu, and brewing the tea in a Japanese clay teapot (Kyusu) according to directions.
